the GZ story

Ground Zero Gaming began in Perth, Western Australia in 2017 as a grassroots CS:GO tournament organiser.

What started as a local push for a better competitive scene has grown into an APAC organisation spanning elite competition and gaming experiences.

From local tournaments to the APAC stage

A few months in, we secured the Perth franchise of the Gfinity Australian League — a turning point that helped shape our reputation in professional esports.

Since then, we’ve competed across titles including CS:GO, Rocket League and League of Legends, and represented our region on the international stage.

Building experiences beyond the screen

In 2019, we partnered with Forrest Chase as part of the Forrest LIVE festival to deliver a community gaming hub in Perth — and it sparked a second lane for Ground Zero.

Since then, we’ve worked with shopping centres, education, corporates and government to deliver interactive gaming activations that bring communities together.
