Ground Zero Gaming brings Rocket League to Mandurah Forum
Powering back into the activation circuit, Ground Zero Gaming partnered with Vicinity Centres during the September/October school holidays to bring Mandurah Forum E-Games to life - a high-energy Rocket League experience designed to pull a crowd and keep people playing.
Built for walk-ups and families, the activation combined strong visual presence with a simple session flow, making it easy for anyone to jump in while giving spectators plenty to watch.
➡️What we delivered
Across the two-week program, we created a premium, high-throughput gaming setup that worked in a busy retail environment.
12 gaming stations across two zones
1,200+ games of Rocket League played during the event
Gameplay on Nintendo Switch
Premium gaming chairs for player comfort
75-inch screens to bring the action to life for both players and spectators
➡️Why it worked
Rocket League is one of the best titles for public activations - it’s fast, easy to understand, and fun to watch. Pair that with a clean, professional setup and you get an experience that naturally creates a crowd moment on the floor.
For Mandurah Forum, the two-zone format helped keep the activation moving, while the big-screen presentation made it a genuine spectator draw.
➡️Looking to run an activation like this?
Mandurah Forum E-Games is a great example of how esports can be delivered as a fully managed retail activation that’s easy to run and hard to ignore.
