Ground Zero Gaming joins the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) for the 2026 season
We’re here.
We’re proud to share that Ground Zero Gaming has been selected to join the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) for the 2026 season as a guest team, with the season set to begin on 16 January.
The LCP is the premier League of Legends competition for the Pacific region. We’ll compete from Taipei, representing the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) as our home region.
“Being selected for the LCP is a huge milestone for Ground Zero Gaming and for our fans,” said Beau Melia, founder and CEO of Ground Zero Gaming. “After our success in the LCO and the opportunity to compete in the PCS, we’re thrilled to take the next step in our League of Legends journey and face some of the most accomplished teams in the region. We’re here to compete from day one.”
Riot Games confirmed GZ’s selection following a competitive proposal process, citing the organisation’s operational readiness and alignment with the league’s values and long-term sustainability goals.
“We’re excited to welcome Ground Zero Gaming to the LCP. It’s been a careful search for a team that could bring both stability and regional ambition to the league,” said Piotr Pilich, head of product, esports, LCP. “They’ve shown they can operate across markets and step up when it matters, competing in the LCO and later the PCS. I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform against the best teams in our region — and the rivalries they’ll ignite.”
